12:46 < falktx> oh the delay...
12:47 < zth> fps, controlling the velociy is actually preferable here
12:48 < zth> because drumgizmo is velocity aware
12:48 <@rgareus> zth: it uses different samples (which are categorized "same velocity, but 2nd or 3rd hit).

12:49 < falktx> is it just me, or the audio delay in ardour is *long*
12:49 < falktx> ?
12:49 < zth> rgareus, yepp, but also velocity layers, so using the fader on the velocities == "softer" playing on the drums, and not just lower output of hard hits
12:49 < falktx> ie, latency
12:49 <@rgareus> falktx: I guess it's the stream. it's sync here
12:49 < fps> i think it's the other way around.. the video stream lags behind the audio?
12:50 < falktx> ah, fixed by re-opening the stream
12:50 < equinox0815> falktx: the delay you see between the slides and the audio is because the slides reach my video mixer delayed
12:50 < falktx> equinox0815: reopening the stream makes it better now
12:50 < cannam> hey falktx you're right, I changed the video size and it's much closer to in sync
12:50 < equinox0815> delay should be ok if you watch the camera
12:50 <@rgareus> falktx: just close your eyes and listen :)
12:51 < fps> ok, disregard my previous comment. :D New comment: AWESOME :D
12:53 < zth> personal kit, i love it :D
12:53 < falktx> clap clap
12:53 < grammoboy> a widely used format like sfz would be nice
12:53 < cannam> great presentation
12:53 * zth claps

12:54 < falktx> nilsge: you're next
12:54 < tom^_> lightning dog :)
12:54 < fps> lidening dog
12:55 < tom^_> hah
12:57 < fps> zth: so you're involved in the drumgizmo project?
12:57 < grammoboy> someone should be able to record the workshops in other rooms with a phone or something right?
12:58 < zth> fps, i've been following it closely a while, testing it a lot and using it for some productions, and i aspire to start using it very much more in the near
             future
12:58 < falktx> hm, stopped for a sec
12:58 < zth> and i've been talking with the devs a lot
12:58 < fps> zth: ok :D
12:58 < zth> fps, i'm very happy with it :D both that i think it sounds very nice, is flexible, and that the people involved are just generally great people
